Hi and welcome!
My name’s Ann-Maree and I am the owner and head condiment creator at Oaky Creek Road Providores. We’re a small family owned and run business built on the twin philosophies that nothing beats homemade and no produce, however ugly, should go to waste. All our products are handcrafted using family recipes and with fresh, Australian-grown and locally-sourced ingredients being their backbone.
Our small family farm on Oaky Creek Road in the beautiful, and bountiful, Scenic Rim often provides an abundance of produce that no amount of friends or family can help us to consume, and so the preserving and condiment making began as a way to ensure nothing was wasted.
My jill-of-all-trades mother, Colleen, first began selling her homemade jams, relishes and chutneys at local markets in 2013 which soon became beloved by locals and coveted by out-of- town visitors to her stall. Come 2020 and the idea to expand and offer our products to consumers outside of the Scenic Rim was born.
We still grow some of the produce that we use in our products and what we can’t grow ourselves we source locally wherever possible. We also still trade with friends and neighbours who have surplus fruit and vegetables that they just can’t use. Donated produce, from friends of friends or even our customers, we turn into Community Garden Limited Releases where a portion of the sale amount on each jar sold is donated to a charity or community organisation of the giver’s choice.
The proof is in the pudding – we believe our products are superior in quality and taste, have more fresh ingredients and less sugar, and are not filled with artificial additives or preservatives. Where possible, we also try and make our products gluten free and vegan.
